DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 4 (Four): (1) E. W. Adams, Seneca Falls, New York, 30 hour, time and strike, weight wood movement carved column and cornice top shelf clock, c1835; (2) David Dutton, Mount Vernon, New Hampshire, 30 hour, time and strike, weight wood movement half column & splat shelf clock, c1830 (3) Pratt & Frost, Reading, Mass., 30 hour, time and strike, weight wood movement half column & splat shelf clock, c1830 (4) Julius Peck & Co., Litchfield, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, weight wood movement half column & splat shelf clock, c1835
CONDITION: (1) Mahogany veneered case in an old finish has loss on the base, the doors and top edge of the cornice. Some of the veneer on the doors has been replaced. Replaced mirror. Original wood dial is fairly clean for its age. Hands are missing; (2) Mahogany veneered case in original crazed finish. Original painted dial is in nice condition. Original hands and pendulum. Mirror missing. Darkened label with some loss inside. (3) Mahogany veneered case in original finish has loss on the base, repair at the bottom hinge, some loss on the gilt columns and some damage at the chimney caps. Original painted dial is clean for its age. Original hands. Replaced mirror. Dark label inside. (4) Mahogany veneered case has veneer loss on the base, the door and the left chimney block. Original painted dial is fairly clean for its age. Bottom right block is missing. Chimney caps are missing. No hands or pendulum.
